Macau is a lot more than a casino heaven or hell (depending on your luck); it is an incredibly interesting mix of European (and specifically Portuguese) characteristics with Asian culture. That makes it an ideal day trip from Hong Kong either you choose to go by boat or bus by crossing the 55-kilometer bridge that connects them.
